Emmy for MODO

The Emmy kit delivers 21 new and exciting nodes to help with creating particle and other effects in Modo.

For dynamic particles we have Particle Emitter and Volume Emitter; for static particles Particle Grid, Arrays to Particles and Mesh To Particles.

Emmy vastly expands on the vocabulary of force nodes giving new basic forces Surface Force and Curves Force as well as a Force Probe node that can be used to evaluate forces at any given location. In addition new force operators include Force Curl Force, Falloff Curl Force, Binary Force, Unary Force, Swizzle Force, Constant Force, Zoom Force and Conditional Force. The Force Falloff converts a force to a falloff in various ways.

We also have Mesh Falloff that calculates whether a point is inside a mesh or not and Closest Probe which works like the intersection constraint but also includes normal information in its output.

Finally a couple of experimental features are UV Texture Probe and Map Probe which can find the colour of a UV texture and a map value at a given position respectively.

Emmy plays nicely with Polly which has the new mesh operations Enforcer (apply a force to a mesh to distort it) and Trailer (follow a force to create curves).

Emmy is available for Windows, Linux and Mac platforms. It requires Modo 15 or above.
