Primo for MODO
Primo introduces an exciting set of new modelling Primitives to Modo. With redesigned tool handles, dimension snapping, action centre awareness, falloffs, gradients and more, these tools will make your modelling life a breeze. All the tools are available for both direct and procedural modelling.
- Torus -- with start angle and angular extent and end caps.
- Cylinder, Cone, Helix -- feature taper, ellipse mode, falloffs and gradients.
- 3pt Circle/Arc, Loop -- create circular curves, polygon fans and more.
- Polyhedra -- create a regular polyhedron at the drop of a hat.
- Ring -- disk with a hole in the middle, with falloffs, start and end angle.
- Cuboid, Plane -- with dimension snapping, define from corner or from centre.
- Rounded Rectangle -- rectangle with circular corners as a curve or polygon.
- Globe -- a sphere with options to slice top and bottom.
- Catenary -- a curve which mimic the shape of a dangling wire or string.
- Quick Tube -- creates tubes from selected curves.
- Slot -- an extruded rounded rectangle (from 1.5)
- Quick Pipe -- like tube, but with straight segments and rounded corners (from 1.6)
- Line -- a two point line tool (from 1.7)
More tools and enhancements are planned and customers will get free updates as they are released.
Primo supports Modo 15+ on Windows, Linux, MacOS (Intel and ARM).

Primo is delivered in a zip file containing the Primo kit itself and a PDF manual describing the new primitives.
